Is your electric bill through the roof? Has it doubled? You have a heat pump. Chances are your out door unit is not coming on more than likely. Call in a service and get it fixed. This has been the week for that. We found a commercial strip mall with 5 locations in it with the wrong thermostat creating this problem. 2 heat 1 cool is what you need. Can be other reasons but you dont want to heat your space this way.
